Rabbi Shmuel Kaplan is the director of Chabad-Lubavitch of the state of Maryland, overseeing its activities in more than 15 cities and towns. A noted Torah scholar and a lecturer at the University of Maryland, he hosts "Awake, Alive, and Jewish," a weekly radio program in the Washington D.C. metro area, and cohosts "Diana, Mike, and the Rabbi," a weekly cable TV program. Rabbi Shmuel Kaplan is the chairman of JLI’s advisory board and is a member of its executive committee.
